facing our fashion fears. - Fashion fears. - To me a fashion fear is everything that I don't want to wear.

- That insecurity that I've kept repressed for years and years and now focusing on that
and doing only that. - The thing you don't do on your body. - My fashion fear is my boobs, just everything surrounding them. - The bodycon dress.

- Pants. - Low rise jeans. - Overalls, big, big overalls. - It'll be interesting confronting
our insecurities head on.

- Wait, I'm like sweating now. Is this actually happening? I'm moist. - I'm Tiffany Reese of lookieboo.Com. I'm a big believer in
facing our fashion fears because I don't think
we should let clothing have so much power over us.

- I am afraid of bodycon dresses. It's more the being
exposed that freaks me out. I just prefer a flowy dress just in case I want to eat a big lunch. One time I wore a bodycon dress to work and Freddie was just the whole day like "Hey!" And I was like, "This
is why I don't do it." - Even though they're all tight fitting, they're tight fitting in different ways so I'm hoping you'll find
one that's like the winner, the go to.

- So, I am afraid to show
my boobs in any sort of way. I think I don't show them or display them because they are large for my body and I don't like getting that attention. - As a kid, I pissed myself constantly. You have 10 to 15 seconds
to get everything off and sit your ass down or else
pee is dripping down your leg and if you're wearing overalls, you can't get them off in time.

Do you piss your pants a lot? - Well, I have had three kids so the pissing thing. They zip all the way down, then you just-- - Oh. - So if you really have to pee yourself, these are the overalls for you. - My fashion fear is pants.

I don't like pants because
I have something called PCOS. And what that basically means
is the majority of my fat congregates around my stomach and so whenever I wear
pants it's just like, "Ugh, there's that thing
I can't get rid of." - I have a good variety of stuff to try. - Wooh! - And I'm hoping that you
will only hate them 50%. - I go for pants that
cover the belly button.

Anything below that makes me stressed. I never thought about it but
I think I hate belly buttons. - I'm gonna have you start
with the long tee shirt but the shirts are gonna maybe get a little tighter
and shorter as the week goes. So we're gonna push it.

Let's start with this one. Let's start with this girl. - What's her name? - Sexy secretary. - So, they just are the Marshas, like their name is Marsha.

Here we go. We're all about to experience the Marshas in all their glory. - I can't wait. - So these are full length overalls.

So they are similar to coveralls but they don't cover it all. - My belly button is indeed exposed. - I'm trying to not use
my hair as a crutch. - We're out here.

- They're a little warm, which is what I was concerned about but that is the nature of pants and I need to accept that. Step one is accepting
pants for who they are. Step two, I think, is to wear them. Step three, I think, is to
throw them in the garbage.

So we're gonna skip step three and just enjoy them and have a great time. - This is the worst possible week for me to be on my period and guess what week it is? - To be honest, I'm trying
to not think about it because they're just so here. - I think these are more of
like maybe a jeggings material so it's not really cutting. Tiffany gave me tot option
to maybe tie the shirt up to make it a little more va va voom and I decided against it.

- I feel a little bit like a sausage. If I go to Chipotle at any
point during this week, it's just gonna be food baby central. I'm expecting a burrito
in t minus three weeks. More like t minus 24 hours but (giggles) - I feel uncomfortable about the fact that the neck lines might get lower but that's what we're here to do.

- That's my own insecurity
and I have to deal with it. I have to face it. I have to face my fashion fear. That's alliteration for you.

- So day one wearing my low rise jeans. I just keep pulling up my pants even though they're not even falling down but I just keep pulling them up. I want them to be above my belly button. - Having to go to the bathroom with these overalls has been tough because it adds an extra
45 seconds to my bathrooms which is sort of why I
was so scared of them in the first place.

- I do not know how you guys
wear pants all the time. I do feel flattered in this outfit but I don't feel, what's
the word, comfortable. - So I've only been wearing this shirt for two and a half hours and it happened. Someone exited the bathroom, our eyes met, but before our eyes met
their eyes met the Marshas.

- I think I look a lot fancier than usual because I've had a lot of
people open doors for me. I think that the lip and the sunglasses are like helping me along
with this kind of character. Twisted Joan from Mad Men. - It's day two of pants.

Got these cords. I mean, they're comfortable. Honestly the one thing I like about them is I feel like I can do cartwheels. - So this is the lowest
and most revealing outfit that I have.

- How do you feel about my jeans? - I officially made it through
the day wearing this dress and not covering them up but I was definitely
uncomfortable the whole time. It's just not me. - I'm at a work event. I'm wearing overalls.

I've gotten so many compliments
or comments on overalls. It's like a big surprise. I kind of like them when I'm outside. To have them outdoors
makes me kind of feel like a happy farmer.

- It's a very boss ass bitch outfit. - I love this outfit. - You know, my fashion
fear is showing any boobs or just like accentuating them. - Oh, exciting! - So here they are.

- I'm just taken by the dress and the overall effect that it had. It's just like boobs are
part of the ensemble. - What do you think of my outfit? - I love it. - You didn't notice anything different? That I'm wearing a really tight dress? - It's got a little bit of red on it.

Oh, I mean, I don't know. I think it looks great. - You haven't been staring at my butt? - Well, I always do that. - As the days go on, I'm starting to hate low
rise jeans a little bit less.

I've realized why I
like high waisted jeans. High waist jeans make me feel
like I have a popping booty. Low rise jeans deccentuate the booty. Is that a word? - [Camera Woman] Alright
Jen, how do you have to do in the bathroom? - You have to flip it up and it hurts you.

- Stuff fits, feeling like I could dance. I can't dance but if I could
dance, this would be great. - This is one of my favorite
dresses of the week. - I like this dress.

- I like the way it's styled a lot. I like pretty much everything about it - It's stylish. - Except for the fact that we did eat a lot of curly fries just now.
- A lot of curly fries. - Kind of trying to suck in and get rid of any curly
fry food baby action.

- So the day is here where
I have to wear a crop top. I'm very upset, barely
want to get out of the car. I'm cold. - I'm getting kind of used to these pants.

So many people have been
giving me compliments that I feel like maybe I'm just over thinking this a little bit and that pants aren't that bad. - This is the legally
brunette dress for real. I did too much. I did too much.

- No you didn't. - It's a lot. - The shirt is fine. I'm just done.

I'm just ready for it to kind of be over. - [Camera Man] What has happened Jen? - I thought there was an extra step. - [Camera Man] You just
tripped on your overalls and just almost got pierced by this wall. - Yeah, I did fall.

- So this week we faced our fashion fears and it's been terrible. - Educational. - Better than expected. - Um.

(Growls) - I definitely feel like I
actually look better in pants than I thought I did. Today, I got lots of compliments and at first I was like,
"Really on this outfit?" And I looked in the mirror and I was like Okay, yeah i could see a world where someone else was wearing this. I'd compliment them too. - I guess I'm just not seven anymore and I don't piss myself
as often as I used to.

I also never really thought overalls could be cute before this
but they can be so cute. Look at how cute this shit is. - I felt weird because I was like, "Is it bad that I'm an empowered women but I still don't feel comfortable showing these natural parts of my body?" I want the attention to be up here in just what I'm saying and what I'm doing rather than on a body part. - I did not have a great
experience this week but I don't think belly buttons are as bad as I thought they were at
the beginning of the week.

- [Camera Woman] Let me see
your belly button, Freddie. - No, never. - I thought that maybe
by the end of the week, I would feel more comfortable but I just don't. - I think I might start
wearing overalls though because I kind of felt like, "Hey, this item of
clothing, not that bad." - I think that after this week, I am more likely to wear a bodycon dress.

This was a little bit of rejection therapy where it's like people
are staring at your butt, people are staring at your butt. But then after awhile you're
just like listen, it's my butt. It's there. What are we gonna do about it? Pretty much nothing because I go to yoga twice a week and that's about as much as I can manage.

Kepopuleran Dilan 1990 ini bahkan mampu mengorbitkan nama-nama bintang muda tanah air yang ikut berperan di dalamnya. Pertama cara pakai seragam. Kalau di sinetron-sinetron kan banyak karakter yang seragamnya ketat, sedangkan di DILAN 1990 lebih mirip realita. Selain nggak ketat, roknya juga panjang selutut dengan ikat pinggang yang jelas terlihat. Cuma Dilan dan teman-teman gengnya aja yang biasanya mengeluarkan kemeja dari dalam celana biar kesan nakalnya kelihatan. Milea dan Dilan juga kalau berangkat atau pulang sekolah melengkapi fashion sekolahnya dengan jaket. Teman satu geng Dilan seperti Anhar, melipat lengan seragam mereka, ada yang begini juga?

Di rumah, Milea juga santai banget. Dia paling sering memakai celana pendek, ditambah dengan kaos oblong bergambar kartun. Siapa yang begini juga kalau di rumah? Kalau keluar Milea memakai celana kain atau overall yang masih bisa bergaya untuk era sekarang. Teman-teman Milea seperti Wati dan Rani juga gayanya nggak jauh beda.

Sedangkan Dilan kalau tidak sekolah biasanya memakai kaos mode Polo yang khas dengan kerahnya. Baru kalau sudah bergaya dengan geng motornya, ia berubah jadi gaul dengan jaketnya, baik itu jeans atau yang warna hijau tentara.

Benni, karakter mantan Milea yang diperankan Brandon Salim, menunjukkan tren anak muda di masa itu. Pakai kemeja rapi yang dimasukkan ke celana dilengkapi dengan rambut klimis. Style ini juga dipakai oleh Kang Adi (Refal Hady), mahasiswa ITB yang jadi guru les privat Milea.

Tak kalah menarik adalah penampilan Ira Wibowo sebagai bundanya Dilan. Kalau sedang di luar, dia berpenampilan layaknya guru pada umumnya. Tapi saat di rumah dia gaul banget, pakai kaos ketat yang membuatnya seperti sahabat-sahabat anaknya.

Film ini hanya perlu waktu 10 hari untuk meraih 10 juta penonton. Kalau terus begini bukan tidak mungkin, film pertama dari seri Dilan ini bisa menjadi film Indonesia terlaris sepanjang masa.

What Does it Take to Be A Fashion Designer

- Hi, my name is Zachary Fernandez and I'm currently a fashion student.   So I am starting my
Kathmandu 2016 collection. My collection's gonna
be debuting at my school fashion show, and so I have
little under seven weeks to get this all put together.   So our school assignment
was to pick a city that we wanted to be inspired
by for this collection.

I ended with Kathmandu, Nepal, all of the trouble that
they went through last year was really inspiring and I
was able to take those ideas of imbalance and the
destruction of culture and apply that to this new collection. These are the pieces that
I ended up designing. They're ever-changing
and they kind of just are always in flux. My sketching process
involves a lot of images, a lot of mixed medias,
I like to do collages, watercolors, acrylic paste,
it's a real reflection of what my mind looks like.

Here you have the final
sketches that I've done. The sketching process for me is really a major step between just
ideas and kind of this fantasy world that I've created in my mind to really functional wearable pieces.   Fabric sourcing is one of
my favorite things to do. It's really like a group
activity, like meet a couple of friends, we'll just go, we'll explore the city,
we'll get inspiration.

So I'm looking for like a very pale blue that's almost like very silverish, and then I'm gonna be looking for a very deep, rust orange color. Okay, so I need to find
this, but more grayish blue. The fabric store is one of those places that you go in with one
idea and one concept and one thought, and you
come out with like 500 more. This is it.

- This is it! - This is it.
- [Girl] Dude! - Hey! Yes! So I spend the majority
of my time draping and it's definitely a part that
will make or break a piece. I take a piece of muslin,
which is just a really basic blend fabric, and I started
sculpting it to the dress form. And then those mock-ups that
I make of the dress form are then fitted to the
model, and sometimes I try them on a model, I'm
like, this is hideous, I don't know why, it just overpowers her or something happens
and that leads to even better ideas and even
more just, creativeness.   When you design while you create, I just think it takes so much longer and you like pressure
yourself so much more.

So, my design mind is turned off. And it's just about sewing, and sewing, and sewing, and sewing, and sewing. So after I finish draping, I take a part of that mockup and I totally seam rip it and I re-pattern it, and then I cut out of my real fabric. (Sewing machine) It's always really nerve-wracking 'cause a lot of times the
fabric's all that you have, either the budget doesn't
allow for you to get more fabric, or there's
simply not anymore left.

It has this like box-like structure in it. The box is actually lined with horse-hair so that it can kind of take the shape and that's why I'm kind of trying to like manipulate it right now
'cause it just takes on whatever shape you really need it to. The show, oh the show. Six days, and I'm still
cutting up fabric like, I don't think that's normal.

There's always going to be
that last minute hurry up and finish like state of being. I have a picture in my mind about how this is supposed to go, but who knows if it actually go that way.   I think that there can be
a lot of different ways to read the look. Obviously you look for
like the main things like color, silhouette,
is this an evening piece, is this a day piece and you just kind of put the garment and
choose certain categories and that really helps
people read fashion out, by the time the piece is on the runway I'm already thinking about
a whole new collection and I'm really thinking
something totally different, but it doesn't really
hit me that these people, for them it's the first
time that they've seen this.

 I've spent months and months
planning and sketching and putting it together. If I see all these different
things in these pieces, but no one else does,
then it's kind of sad, but then it's also part
of what makes fashion art, is because people see it
in so many different ways. (Applause and cheering) We are in my home, studio,
bedroom combination in Berkeley, California. I have this look from
Project Runway Junior, which was the first episode, and this look for my most recent collection.

They really mean a lot
to me 'cause they show how much progress I've made within the last four, five months.  .

Masyarakat yang bergerak di sektor ekonomi kreatif merasa menggali ide lebih jauh itu penting demi kemajuan di masa mendatang. Di Indonesia, ekonomi kreatif didefinisikan sebagai fase perekonomian pasca ekonomi pertanian, industri dan juga ekonomi informasi. Sektor ekonomi ini lebih mengintensifkan informasi dan juga kreativitas yang keluar dari gagasan dan juga pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh SDM yang berani. Today I'm gonna be buying a week's worth of clothing from Fashion Nova Now Fashion Nova is a trendy online clothing retailer that I see freaking everywhere and I guess that makes sense because they really go ham with the marketing. You may recognize their name from the hashtag #Novababes, Which surprised me by not being a hashtag about ladies who attend Villanova University. Unlike other online retailers like wish and romwe, Fashion Nova's prices are not Suspiciously low but, like those other online retailers, a lot of the mystique around fashion Nova exists because it's not clear if the clothes are as good in real life as they are in the photos.

And a lot of the Posts about fashion Nova seem to be sponsored or partnered content. So it's hard to find an unbiased review. So today I'm gonna be diving headfirst into the fashion Nova cove, cave, grotto? And buying a week's worth of outfits in my quest to become a Villanova babe. All right.

Let's start shopping Okay, so I'm gonna open up Fashionnova.Com and I'm also gonna open up a fashion Nova's Instagram. What fashion Nova does on their Instagram is that they have like their own posts that are like their sort of online catalogue models But they will also repost their Nova babes wearing their Fashion Nova clothing. So I basically wanno go through and like find Nova-babe Posts and then try and recreate their outfits and see how they look on me, a not Nova- babe. All right, yes.

Here are some dresses, some body suits. Oh, look! There's a Nova babe with her Nova-Bae. Oh, you know what? I said Nova-Bae as a joke, but actually that is a hashtag in this caption. Oh wow! This looks like a very distressed pair of jeans that is specifically distressed on the butt cheek.

I've actually never seen that before but you know, I've worn my fair share of strange denim, So I feel like you know, maybe we could go for this. I could wear some boy shorts. Maybe borrow some briefs from Tyler and we could sort of do like a peekaboo situation. So I'm gonna go to the fashion Nova site and then search this term 'the truth about it denim Bermudas' All right.

So, let's see what size I could be in these. Based on this size chart I'm gonna guess I'm a size 9 All right. So let me add these to the cart and then let me see what she's wearing on her top again uh It's called the 'meshing u cami' like she's 'mishing' you but she's meshing you. It looks like a pretty Standard gold tank top.

So why don't we just get a medium on top and that will conclude this outfit. Oh look at this It's a Nova babe with her Nova babies. Oh is this-- Adrienne Bailon of the Cheetah Girls? Why it is! And she is wearing the trench me up Jacket as a dress. Well, I'm surprised that Adrienne's cheating on the Cheetah Girls with the Nova babes Obviously Adrienne has done many things since being on the Cheetah Girls including date Rob Kardashian, but to me She will always be a cheetah sister.

Adrien like has styled this with nothing underneath but on the website They've styled it with a skirt underneath so we'll see when it gets here if we need to put something under this alright So I don't think I can find the exact over-the-knee boots that she has on in the photo on fashionnova.Com, But, I did find a couple of pairs that kind of have like some texture to them. That could be a good dupe So I'm gonna go with these Francine's satin over the knee boots and that is outfit number two. All right. So, let's see what's up next.

Oh, I like this. This is like a black jumpsuit with slits up the legs and like red and white piping It looks like she's at a mall, too. And I love malls I'm a big fan of like maxi dresses and jumpsuits and I like that this one it has kind of like baggy legs So it's not like super clinging to the thighs All right So I'm gonna add this Rooftop bar jumpsuit in medium to the bag and that is pretty much all we need for our third outfit Let's see what we should get next Ooh, this looks interesting. This to me is like definitely like a modern-day Bratz outfit I think that the beret on top really seals its fate there.

Alright, so here's the top on the website It looks quite short. It seems to hit sort of like directly under the boob So I guess you guys are all going to get view of my Taylor Swift midriff And then uh, what were the pants called? The Carly Bella striped pants. Well, at least these pants look like they're quite high-rise I'm gonna get these in a size large and then add that to the bag. All right So the last part of this outfit was the beret.

Oh, well, I just searched for beret, and I got a butt lifter so Tyler in the background: "Yeah, ya did." I might have to get a beret somewhere else. All right, so with those added to the cart that is outfit number four All right So what's next? You know what? This dress is really popular on their Instagram Like I've seen a few different posts that feature this Mura mesh dress So I feel like if they're continually marketing and showing people in this dress, we should try it out This dress is definitely sort of that tight around the curves Club dress that I think is like a signature of fashion Nova It seems to be a ruched look so you can kind of like cup and skim. I'm doing this. I don't know what this is I think we should get this in a medium.

All right, so that is outfit number 5. 2 Left! Oh my word. What is that? They say this is the Shaina houndstooth velvet lounge set and it seems to be sort of like Halfway in between like a houndstooth suit and like a Juicy Couture sweat suit So, I think we should do it. Online the sweat suit seems like much looser, but we'll see how it actually fits in person I did also find a pair of sunglasses that look like the one she's wearing So let's get those too.

So that is outfit number 6. All right, so let's look for our last fashion Nova outfit Oh, this is cute. This looks like it's like a mustard crop top that says 90s baby across the boobs And you know what? I'm a 90s baby. So why not advertise that above my chesticles? All right I feel like as always we should go for a medium with this and I'm gonna add that to the bag So the next part of this outfit is the pencil skirt.

So, let's see if they have a plaid pencil skirt All right So I feel like the closest dupe I could find on the site is this 'Couldn't be bothered' skirt And it looks to be about the right length, but it's just plain black instead of having that like dark grey plaid pattern She's also wearing these like silver these which, I believe are also fashion Nova And they do have a size 10 available and I think that will complete our outfit number seven All right, so that is a week's worth of outfits, hopefully So I'm going to choose one business day shipping which has a pretty hefty price tag But if it actually gets here in one day, I think it's worth it. Okay, so my order is confirmed So hopefully they'll get here pretty soon And once it does we'll start wearing it and see if I can ever truly become a Nova babe Okay, so it's a few days later. And I think we have almost everything that we order from fashion Nova Even though we paid for like overnight shipping, it came in like five days. In fact, Fashion Nova sent me an email like when it should have been here being like Congrats we're still working on it So as I said, we have almost everything.The sunglasses, Unfortunately, never arrived.

They were on like the packing list of the items That should be here when we originally got the package, but they were nowhere to be found But sunglasses aside, I have all of my things here and we'll start wearing them Now! So for my first outfit I went for Adrienne by Lon's trench me up jacket and B Francine Satin over the knee boots the cheetah sisters We stand together To finish off the styling of this outfit I put my hair up in a topknot and then I also added a little booty short I think Adrienne might be a bit shorter than I am. So this fit her more like a dress and for me Well, I guess it's still a dress but it's a dress that shows my underwear So Adrienne instagrammed this outfit at some type of park in front of a fountain So we went to a park and found a fountain I wonder how Adrienne got on in her stiletto boots because mine are sinking into the ground I'm just like You know, sort of aerating the grass. The jacket does look reasonably like the photo but it is much less Flattering on me than it is on Adrienne. It is a little smaller than I expected I think I could have done with a large at least on bottom.

But then who knows what would have happened up top? And the shoes even though they were the right size Quickly became pretty painful. I ended up having to walk in sort of like small waddling steps. Tyler: Why is the resemblance uncanny? I think my gaiter resembles his so closely. He thinks I'm just a giant goose Tyler: Yeah, he's like you're a little awkward, but-- Safiya: I don't think I would wear this outfit again Maybe I would try to wear this jacket over something but altogether this outfit made for a very precarious day Tyler: It's surprisingly long.

I think was the goose chase that really got you over the edge. Safiya: It was truly a wild goose chase So for my second outfit I went for my early favorite from when we were shopping Which was the rooftop bar jumpsuit. Sky's out thighs out, that's what I always say. In the instagram This Nova babe is basically just posing at a mall So we went to the mall and posed.

It's kind of like as if each of my individual legs are superheroes With capes! To which I say: No capes! I do think that this jumpsuit does look a lot like the photos online at least while you're stationary But once you start walking you're confronted with the reality of the slits. The thing is I'm okay with my thighs being out It's really just like right here That kind of makes me nervous. 'Cause I just feel like it could just flap inwards and then you'd really just see my pubes I do actually like the look of this jumpsuit when you're standing still but in motion things move around Things ride up and it just feels kind of risky. It's basically a fancy loincloth.

Tyler: Yeah! I would wear this again, but maybe like on vacation or to like a pool party? I don't think I would wear it out in public again, just because of the pube anxiety. Tyler: It's not sky's out thighs out Tyler: It's uh loins out groins out Tyler: Is that-- That's the same thing So one day three I went for the 'truth about it' denim Bermudez and the meshing you' Cami Tyler: Whoever made these jeans are like "I want the whole ass out" Safiya: Each buttock must be exposed to its maximum capacity I had already planned on wearing like little booty shorts underneath these jeans But I wasn't expecting how see-through the top would be So I also put on a little camisole underneath just to keep myself monetized I've done enough under layers that I'm not nervous about being exposed personally But like the amount of rips and dips is interesting. Tyler: It looks like a bear tried to grab your butt Yeah, I got groped by Wolverine. Dammit, Hugh! I think I've experienced my fair share of strange denim at this point and this definitely Isn't the weirdest pair of jeans I've ever worn but the behind is really confounding Ohoh! Tyler: What? Safiya: I can feel the hot chair through my path There's something about these that are so absurd that I almost want to wear them again But I don't know how or why.

Besides of course the like extreme distressing on the buttock They're also like a Capri or Bermuda short length, which is a length of pant that I have not worn since about 2006 or 7. And to be honest Bermuda shorts are pretty much the last item of clothing I would expect to be sexy-fied But maybe I just don't have that Nova babe vision. So for our fourth outfit, I went for the 'Maura mesh' dress I just think this dress is kind of sexy I do feel kind of like the inside of a nice casket. In this Instagram This Nova babe is posing inside while holding a bouquet of roses And I'm just going to pose in front of the thermostat I'd say this dress does look like it did in the photos But it fits much stranger than I thought it would.

In particular It was weirdly tight around the upper arms everything else about the dress has some give but right here It's hurting already as a result. I had extremely limited range of motion I do kind of feel like I could Hulk out of this dress *Groaning Hulk-like noises* I kind of heard little rip! And while we were eating dinner I had to Sneakily take my arms out of the sleeves in order to be able to like move my arms around the table I wish I could say I liked this dress I think that if you weren't planning on wearing it for a very long amount of time, you could definitely get away with it But in terms of like an actual dress to wear, I don't like it. So for my fifth outfit I went for the 'CarliBela' striped pants and the 'mixed business' tank top Tyler: You look so much like a Bratz doll. It's crazy.

Safiya: I am Sophie, the French exchange student. The inspo-Nova babe was wearing like an acid-washed denim jacket, a beret and very pointy nude heels Which we did add to the outfit but none of which are from Fashion Nova My feet were just not made for heels in any way shape or form and I think that is gonna be one of my Bigger barriers in my quest to become a Villanova babe. I liked the top I thought it was totally fine. The pants however, are much more Chiffony than I expected and they also have a weird pair of shorts inside of them.

That makes them pretty uncomfortable Besides that, I think that the styling of this outfit was fun But it was sort of cumbersome. Tyler: you look at you're balancing a plate on your head. Safiya: How do I beret? How does one beret? I like the idea of this outfit But I think that I would have to find a different pair of Burgundy colored pants because the current ones have just rode all the way up. Tyler: No Taylor Swift midriff to be found Tyler: Where are you navel? Safiya *singing*: Where are you now that I navel? *Safyia making music noises* That's Justin Bieber So for my sixth outfit I went for this 90s baby crop top, this couldn't be bothered skirt and these Olympic booties.

'92 Is the best! In general, I think that all of these items ended up looking like how I thought they would, so I'm impressed by the internet too IRL translation, and I'm also impressed by like how Comfortable I am. I do have like full range of motion of my arms. Tyler: Yeah! Safiya: And like a decent range of motion down here And, surprisingly of all, The fashion Nova shoes are actually pretty comfortable The only thing I didn't like about the shoes is that it looks like after one wear, I have like a crease in the toe But they're comfortable. It's just a shame that they look like this now.

I would wear this outfit again Maybe not all together, but I liked the skirt, I liked the shoes and I liked the shirt. Something about this skirt reminds me of like Joan from Mad Men who is arguably like a 1965 Nova babe. Amongst all of my internet hauls. This is the rare outfit.

That's three for three You know, I'm saying to the world what my parents had sex 25 years ago well more like 26 and a half years. 26... So for my last outfit I went for this Sheyna houndstooth velvet lounge set I kind of feel like a villain from like American hustle or something. Tyler: Or like The Hangover.

Safiya: I think in Person the jumpsuit ended up fitting more like it did on the model on the website than it did on the Nova babe on Instagram I will say that the jumpsuit is quite comfortable and the medium seems to be fitting me pretty well But to wear it like the Instagram model I really have to like open it up pretty far and like really make it kind of uncomfortable. In this Instagram The Nova babe is posing on an ottoman and taking a photo of herself in the mirror We don't have any mirrors like that in our house. So we went to Ikea. Can we get some meatballs? Tyler: Yes! Safiya: I'm down I had a good time walking around IKEA and lounging in the pretend bedrooms Tyler: You look like you could be sitting right next like DJ Khalid.

Safiya: Another one, another one, another one. What else does he say? And thankfully they did have a mirror we could use. It was honestly sort of hard to replicate her pose. She kind of juts out her butt.

In the immortal words of Tyra Banks This jumpsuit is really far away from my own personal style But I did kind of like it, honestly. If there were a particular occasion or costume party of some kind that I could wear this to I definitely would. I can eat as much lingonberry as I want *Fake laughter* All right, so that was my week wearing Fashion Nova outfits I think that comfort wise my favorite outfit was the '90s baby' outfit But aesthetically I also really liked the black jumpsuit that showed off my full thigh Overall my biggest takeaway about fashion Nova in general is that most of the outfits do photograph well But a lot of them run into problems when you start walking. Whether they flap open or have strange linings on the inside or just Restrict your arms within 30 degrees of motion for some reason So although I do appreciate that the clothes look pretty similar to how they're pictured online.

A lot of them don't feel so good I guess that leaves us with one final question: Am I a Nova babe? And I think the answer is that I'm lacking some posing skills and tolerance for foot pain But if I could be carried to a location Instagram and then carried out of that location Maybe I could be. This is my stylist Mimi Cuttrell. We need four looks tomorrow I need four very different, really amazing press looks tomorrow and that's my life, I'm always like changing out of clothes, changing into clothes and being really chic at it. It's nuts, that's why I need amazing people like her.

Love it. Yeah, it'll be perfect for like a digital interview. Yeah. Do you like it, do you approve, Mazie? I wonder if her tail wags, it means yes.

I love this Isabel Marant. I feel like it'll just be.. Do you think I have a pattern? I just want to know. Do you think I have- I mean we just started working together I want to know! You've done such amazing looks.

Do I have like a kind of outfit? That I like? I think so. Like what? I think you're into dresses You like a good shoe. I do like a good shoe moment. And I like not leaning into what the dress says.

My teens were a little bit more tight pants ponytails, hoops puffy jackets. Yeah, I was that girl in the 90's and then came the 2000's and then came me becoming an actress and I started wearing everything. Jewelry, clothes, hair, makeup. And then I realized that I looked like a Christmas tree going forward.

So then, I backtracked a little and then I became too simple. And then I had to come and find my middle ground. And that took a  couple of years, but you know what? I think I finally found my feet in my 30's as a woman and a fashionista. So a couple of things that I really like right now are smaller sunglasses which Mimi actually put me onto.

The second thing that I'm really enjoying is- I am really loving like a monochrome moment. Like I love like sets and matching them. Like being a little bit more turned out. You know, using funky accesories to break the monochrome up.

Tada! Oooooh. It's perfect, it doesn't even need tailoring. Isn't it? I feel like it I feel like it- Like nowhere Yeah. This is good for what tomorrow? I think this would be.

Daytime definitely. Like a talk show. Yeah, your second look. Yeah.

I love the shoes with it. I know, they're fun. They kind of give a little bit of an edge rather than being too ladylike. I think also the color is like really nice on my tone.

It's so pretty. It's like a little lady. Over understanding myself through my career I think I've realized that you know, I have to be really true to me and what I want to say, whatever the trends might be. What am I feeling at that moment? For a carpet, I always have one or two options just in case 'cause I'm moody.

But when I'm doing something custom it has to be something that works truly for me. Fashion is such a person thing for each one of us. I mean we can get inspired by the people that we see all around but it has to be personal to you. And that's when I started my love affair with fashion.

The other woman that is hugely responsible for a lot of my iconic red carpet moments is Cristina Ehrlich. She has such a sense of classical beauty. She has such a sense of what makes a moment. And I love that about her.

This year again, we are working on my Met Gala look So I'm really excited to share that with you guys. This is our second Met together and our second time with Ralph Lauren. So it's our encore. And so talk to me about it.

So when you have a canvas like Priyanka the skies are the limit and I think our biggest goal is always outdoing ourself from the time before which is a challenge because we always say this moment is epic. This will be able to undo and reveal and come back in a certain moment and this whole cape will come off and then you will have underneath it something that Ralph is so well known for which is this beautiful column dress. My favorite collaboration with you was the Met Gala last year for sure. Because it was such a departure for me because- I remember being so stressed out and the night before being like I'm wearing a trench coat to the Met Gala.

She was so worried that she was going to disappear and not be seen when meanwhile the train went- When I had the train When I wore the train, then I was like there's not way no ones going to realize that I'm there. It's not just a trench coat. Also the Emmy's. The Jason Wu.

That was one of my favorite all time looks in my career. We've done some good stuff together. We're having a good time. Okay so for tonight.

We should do This awesome skirt- We haven't done like a black moment for a while Exactly, so I thought it would just be kind of simple.. Oooh, It'll have liek a really nice waist thing going. I love the textures. Oh my god, this is it right? It's amazing, I love it.

How do the earrings look? My favorite! They're dragons, guys! What do you think? Perfect, yeah. Ready? Love it Ready, set, action! Where am I going? Oh. I think what people don't realize is that Like literally today, I didn't remember what I wore this morning. Like I didn't remember what interview I did or or how the day started.

People always ask me like "How do you look fresh all the time when you have a crazy life like that?" You just have to love what you do, you guys. Like very few of us are lucky enough to do What we love doing and I. Really think I was blessed with that. So try and find what you love to do or try and love what you are doing.

That's what I do. Even with this craziness I'm just like "I love it I love it I love it." I just remind myself of that..

Arus globalisasi telah membawa pengaruh modernisasi yang sangat besar terhadap perubahan dalam berbagai hal, mulai dari teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi hingga hal terkecil dalam sektor kehidupan ini, termasuk fashion salah satunya. Hijab juga nggak luput dari pengaruh modernisasi tersebut. Bisa dibilang, hijab sedang mengalami masa kejayaannya. Berbagai macam variasi hijab diperkenalkan dan dipamerkan, bahkan menjadi tren yang sedang berkembang pesat khususnya di Indonesia.

Saking berkembangnya, potensi industri fashion muslim dan hijab Indonesia disukai oleh negara besar di dunia.  Berbagai negara seperti Amerika Serikat hingga Korea Selatan menjadikan Indonesia sebagai kiblat gaya dalam berbusana muslim. Bahkan pada tahun 2020, Indonesia diyakini bisa menjadi pusat trendsetter busana muslim dunia.

Hal ini menjadi kabar baik bagi Indonesia atas pencapaian yang telah mendapat tempat di mata dunia. Sudah seyogyanya jika kita selaku bagian dari negara Indonesia memberikan dukungan dan apresiasi. Yang perlu kita cermati adalah; di satu sisi, hal ini membuat wanita muslim bisa memilih gaya berhijab sesuai keinginannya, namun, di sisi lain, terdapat beberapa problema bagi wanita muslim terkait hal ini.

Hijab yang kini telah menjelma menjadi gaya hidup dan tren fashion, dikhawatirkan akan menyebabkan pergeseran nilai terutama bagi wanita muslim

Nggak bisa dimungkiri bahwa meningkatnya pengguna hijab saat ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat muslim akan perintah agama. Namun di sisi lain juga memunculkan perdebatan di kalangan masyarakat itu sendiri. Adanya modernisasi hijab sering dikaitkan dengan motivasi seorang muslimah dalam mengenakan hijab, sehingga nggak jarang menimbulkan fenomena yang saling bertentangan.

Misalnya saja, ada kaum wanita yang mengenakan hijab karena memang modelnya yang trendi, up to date, dan fashionable. Sedangkan yang lain masih menganggap bahwa dirinya belum siap secara lahir maupun batin untuk mengenakan hijab. Di satu sisi, diungkapkan bahwa hijab yang saat ini beredar di masyarakat; dengan bentuk, jenis, tipe, dan cara memakainya yang beragam, sudah nggak lagi sesuai dengan syariat agama. Sementara di sisi lain, dijelaskan bahwa mengenakan hijab nggak menjamin perilaku seseorang yang sesuai dengan hijab yang dikenakannya. Problematika inilah yang selama ini menjadi pe-er besar di lingkungan masyarakat muslim Indonesia. Pertanyaannya adalah, apakah benar seseorang memakai hijab atas dasar tuntutan agama atau hanya terbawa arus fashion yang sedang melanda negeri ini?

Atau, bisa jadi pergeseran nilai yang dikhawatirkan ini justru menjadi sebuah terobosan masyarakat yang dinamis dalam memandang penggunaan hijab

Cara berpakaian seperti ini membentuk citra diri Islam dalam masyarakat dan menjadikannya sebagai suatu identitas muslimah itu sendiri. Hal ini dilakukan selain untuk menutup aurat juga bertujuan untuk membangun akhlak yang mulia sesuai dengan ajaran Islam yang syari.

Namun, esensi awal hijab sebagai simbol keagamaan dan bukti kepatuhan kepada sang pencipta dikhawatirkan bergeser, hijab berubah menjadi sebuah fashion. Tapi, barangkali hal ini diartikan berbeda oleh beberapa wanita muslimah dengan pemikirannya yang dinamis. Bagi mereka, Sebagai fashion, hijab mengikuti tren dan mode yang sedang happening. Kesadaran akan taat beragama dan tuntutan fashion membuat banyak wanita Indonesia mengkreasikan hijab dengan berbagai model dan gaya. Kesan bahwa wanita yang berhijab adalah wanita kuno dan konservatif kini mulai luntur. Namun, tujuan utama untuk memenuhi panggilan agama juga tetap diindahkan.

Singkatnya, di satu sisi, perkembangan fashion hijab dinilai positif karena mengampanyekan pakaian tertutup namun tetap modis. Sedang di sisi lain, banyak pihak yang menilai bahwa fenomena ini merupakan upaya meminggirkan aturan baku dalam berhijab itu sendiri. Aturan-aturan hijab yang nggak boleh ketat dan bukan digunakan sebagai perhiasan boleh jadi ditepis dan diganti dengan aturan baru yang lebih dinamis. Agaknya, umat muslim patut berkaca pada hati nurani, bagaimana seharusnya menanggapi fenomena ini dan mengaplikasikannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Mereka perlu merenungi, apakah hijab dikenakan sebagai kesederhanaan, ataukan sebagai hiasan.

Which makes me hate going shopping. - Growing up my mom had a lot of ideas of what looked good on my
body because it was smaller. - I do sometimes see like certain pieces of clothes
might overwhelm me because of my short stature. - These are the most common
things that petite people are not supposed to wear.

Tunics, or shirt dresses. - Oversized styles slash layers. - Maxi dresses, maxi skirts. - Midi skirts, calf length.

Oh, that just sounds like a bad length. - Ankle strap heels, I am
wearing an ankle strap right now so I guess I am already breaking a rule. - I feel like I'm not
allowed to wear anything. - My goal this week is
to just give zero fucks.

(Groovy music) - I feel very awkward and
restricted cause my knees can't go very far. - I just think the skirt
does make you look shorter. - Yeah? - Yeah cause it's longer. But it looks nice though.

- I do actually feel very short in this. Just because I'm just not
used to wearing skirts and the length of this
skirt is very awkward. - I do like that it's
like a tight skirt though because I feel like if it was
like a flowy mid-calf skirt, then it would look really bad. (Groovy music) - I know that it looks cool
and you know people are into it I just feel a little
self conscious for me.

- Apparently baggie pants are supposed
to make you look shorter but I wear these all the time. I don't feel short. I think I got more compliments
on my shirt than on my pants so they're not really
looking at how tall I am they're just looking at what I'm wearing. (Groovy music) - If I'm breaking the rules you know like if this is what it feels like to be bad I don't wanna be good, this is so comfy.

- This is definitely the outfit
I'm most uncomfortable in. - Which I don't get because
I think you look amazing. - Do you think it makes me look short? - None of these outfits
have made you look short. Seriously.

- Yeah, you look amazing. (Groovy music) - So this is one outfit I definitely feel most comfortable in. I don't care if it makes me look short. The benefits outweigh negatives.

Going up stairs is a little bit harder because I have to like kind
of pick up all this fabric unnecessary fabric to make sure I don't kill myself. - The minute I saw you I was like, "Wow Stacy never wears
dresses, but I love it." And so when you told me
this was against the rules for short people I was
like, "Who made up these antiquated rules?" - So I have another short person hack. If your dress is too long just tie a knot at the bottom. That is an easy way to
shorten your clothes without having to go get them hymned.

(Happy Music) - I decided to throw on this
long baggy trench coat jacket. I remember when I went to buy this the lady at the store in
other words kind of told me it would look better on
someone who was taller and I was like, "Fuck
that, I'm gonna buy it." - I think it's really flattering. You look cuter than I do today. - This dress is making
me feel really small.

- This is cute.
- Yeah? - I don't see a problem with this. - I don't look like shorter
than I usually look? - Nah, I think you always look short. - I don't mind that I'm a short person. And I don't think that
fashion rules can hold me back quite honestly, I don't really, I don't really believe in those.

- It's no secret that society puts these unrealistic standards on us and the way that we should look. And I think the first step
is being nicer to yourself. I think we all just need to
take a cue from Backstreet Boys, and say, "Everybody yeah, rock your body." Yeah. (Upbeat music).

Menjadi blogger adalah hobi, bentuk ekspresi diri. Jika kemudian Diana terpublikasi sebagai blogger sekaligus fashion stylish muda ternama dan berpotensi, ini adalah bentuk apresiasi atas konsistensinya menjalani passion di dunia fashion.

"Mindset dalam menulis blog dan memilih bidang atau topik yang disenangi adalah ekspresi diri, bukan dengan maksud promosi diri. Saya memang menyenangi fashion, menulis, dan memotret. Beruntung saya memiliki pembaca setia. Pembaca menjadi lebih setia menyimak tulisan di blog karena merasa tidak disetir, ide yang dituangkan masih murni, tulisan lebih personal. Membaca tulisan di blog lebih seperti mengobrol dengan teman," tutur Diana kepada Kompas Female, di sela peluncuran Pond's Teen Concert (PTC) di Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, Jumat (8/4/2011) lalu.

Gaya penulisan Diana di blog-nya memang memancing daya tarik tersendiri. Isu fashion banyak digemari, namun bukan hanya itu yang bikin blog Diana menarik banyak pembaca. Cara bertutur khas blogger yang mudah dicerna juga membuat pembaca betah berlama-lama menyimak fashion diary-nya. Alhasil, pengunjung blog Diana, hingga kini mencapai 7 juta, dengan rata-rata pembaca 10.000 per hari.

Perempuan kelahiran 23 Desember 1984 ini mengaku tak menjadikan blogger sebagai profesinya. Blog, kata Diana, memfasilitasinya untuk menunjukkan konsep fashion kreasinya. Rupanya, ide fashion segar ala Diana diterima sebagai alternatif dalam bergaya atau berpenampilan. Kini, nama Diana sebagai fashion blogger semakin populer. Gaya fashion-nya diapresiasi oleh individu, bahkan industri. Diana berhasil mewujudkan mimpinya menjadi fashion stylish yang memberi inspirasi. Keberanian dan ekspresi uniknya di blog telah berhasil membawanya pada berbagai kesempatan berkarya di industri.

"Ketika kita melakukan sesuatu yang memang disukai, lalu mendapatkan apresiasi, itu adalah hal yang menyenangkan," tutur Diana.

Benar saja, melalui blog, Diana dipercaya sejumlah majalah untuk menjadi fashion stylish. Tak hanya itu, ia juga dilamar menjadi penata busana dalam pembuatan film, lalu perempuan muda ini juga mengembangkan potensinya bekerjasama dengan pebisnis clothing lokal. Meski konsep dan gaya fashion Diana unik, beda, dan segar, ia tak ingin menyebut dirinya trendsetter. "Saya tidak membuat tren, saya hanya mengekspresikan ide fashion dalam blog," katanya lugas.

Kreativitas dan kesuksesan Diana rupanya tak hanya mengundang apresiasi pembaca. Diana, untuk pertamakali, dinobatkan sebagai digital ambassador PTC 2011. Sosok Diana mewakili generasi muda yang meretas sukses melalui media digital dan berani mengekspresikan diri dengan cara kreatif. Perannya sebagai duta semakin mengasah kreativitas anak muda ini di dunia fashion. Pasalnya, ia akan memberikan tips seputar fashion di microsite PTC dan di blog-nya sendiri.

OSCAR RED CARPET FASHION REVIEW
